Our “Kids are Special Too” Easter Egg Hunt is a 100% free family event perfect for all ages…young & old. We welcome Businesses, Organizations, Community Leaders, Individual Donors, and the Senator’s Political Friends who want to get involved and continue the tradition.

Each year, we rely on donations for the Bounce Houses, Carnival Rides, Kid Activities, Entertainment, and more. Your support will help make this year’s hunt a Community success in honor of its founder and namesake Senator Thelma Harper.

1983

THE BEGINNING

Senator Harper started the Egg Hunt in 1983 when she was the Councilwoman for the 2nd District.  Her objective was to have a free event so that the community could meet and fellowship with elected officials and community leaders while the children had fun. Her one & only Sponsor in 1983 was her husband Paul Harper.
